The Hamlet Charity

The Provincial Grand Primo's Charity for 2023

We believe people with disabilities and complex health needs deserve to be valued for who they are. This means being given the chance to explore choice, communicate, unlock potential and take new opportunities.

We work with babies to young adults at 29 years. This allows us, often over many years, to gain both trust and a real insight as to how best to create a person-centred plan to support each individual and their family.

What makes us different?

  • We go the extra mile

  • We place an emphasis on fun

  • We choose vibrant and innovative approaches which embrace technology

  • We create a family feel

The History of The Hamlet

As a charity we support and enrich the lives of families, children and adults at our two locations in Norwich. Established in 1972 by inspirational couple Jack and Margaret Wymer, the charity has evolved from its beginnings as a Toy Library into a charity offering a range of services for children and adults from birth.

Today we offer a wide range of high quality services to support over 500 families each year from across Norfolk. These services promote integration and inclusion by breaking down barriers that often exist for people with disabilities.

The Provincial Grand Primo Bro Mick Curtis KOM would like to raise funds to support the Norfolk Blood Bikes.

Run by local volunteers, Norfolk Blood Bikes transport blood, plasma, platelets, samples, vaccines, donor breast milk and any other urgently required medical items to hospitals in Norfolk as well as to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

At no cost to the NHS, Norfolk Blood Bikes rely entirely on donations to keep them on the road.

"We’ll go no matter what."

All funds raised for this appeal would be put to good use in supporting our widows in our activities and supporting the Children's Christmas Party.

Over £3000 raised by the members of the Province, their family and friends.

Closely connected to this charity, Brother David would like encourage all support him in collecting for this worthy cause.

None of the vital services would be possible without the amazing fundraisers. Whether you volunteer, take part in an event or make a donation, your support means more people affected by cardiomyopathy can get the information and help they need.

Have some fun, fundraise and see how you can improve life for the thousands of people living with cardiomyopathy.
